Further to my earlier review ... this CD player, to use an old Australian saying, is not worth a pinch of pelican poop.

I am completely unimpressed with this Monodeal player. I bought it maybe a year ago now and liked it when I opened the box. It looked as good as the pretty pictures used to promote it on the Monodeal site. I played a couple of CDs straight off and liked how easy it was to use (even without reading the instructions) and the sound when it was running. However, that impression soon faded into a strong dislike when I touched the lid and the music was interrupted. Thinking I'd done something wrong, I waited a while and hit the play button. The music started again. I put in another CD, started it off, then, while the CD was playing, I picked the player up and the music stopped again. This happens every time I move the player. It plays OK when it's standing still on a table, stops whenever it's moved. Moving the Monodeal around kinda defeats the whole idea of a "portable" CD player, doesn't it? To reiterate, I do not like this player and am sorry I bought it.

This played has been very helpful. We use it in the car. Retains its charge for a while, but we are constantly having to think about plugging it in.

Not only does this portable CD look good, it also has great sound quality and it's very simple to use. It was shipped with a partial charge so I was able to play it right away. Hooking it up to the AUX on any device, especially ones with good speakers, makes listening to my CDs enjoyable. Now I can listen to all of the CDs that have been sitting in their cases for years. It is very reasonably priced and I highly recommend it.

I have had this CD player for two weeks now. I use it for approximately an hour every morning while having coffee. I use it thru the Aux input on an old JVC shelf stereo system. The sound quality is awesome when using the “classic�?sound mode. It is easy to use and have had zero problems. I know I have had it for only two weeks, but based on my experience so far I would definitely recommend.

I regularly listen to Audio books and when my CD player stopped working, I reached out to Monodeal. Jenna, from customer service corresponded with me recommending ways to try to fix the device. Once we established that it was irreparable, she sent me a new one. What an amazing customer service experience. Thank you Jenna.

I bought a round model as a portable for my car. I like that it uses an aux plug as my car has one. The round model didnt last as long . This was one that looked better and it is. Doing the job so far

Cool functions. Audio quality is nice. Awkward design..feels backwards.. feels left handed. Battery life not very long. Have to charge every couple days.

Works in car, but makes an annoying noise while charging. So, I can't charge it while listening to a cd simultaneously. Otherwise, easy hookup and doesn't skip, so far!

I've only had this CD player for about a month. So far it works extremely well. It's light weight and the dual headphone functionality is great if you want to share your music with someone else.

Does just what I wanted- simple to listen to cd’s with headphones or with powered speakers. I lost the included power cord. The vendor sent a replacement at no charge. I recommend highly.

My 2018 Ram doesn't have a cd player. Thus one fits perfectly and is easy to use.

Volume is a bit low with headphones- but otherwise terrific so far! Let’s see how long it lasts�?

Had it for awhile but since this is for a car thatCan't be driven in the snow I haven't experienced the battery life or even played it for a period of time.

I have used the Monodeal MD-604 portable CD player in my car and at home it works great. It has all of the right features in a compact attractive package at a reasonable price point.I also use it in a unique way. As a musician I was looking for a portable device that had an auxiliary port to connect to various devices. I use it to play guitar backing tracks through an amplifier, with the player plugged into an auxiliary input on the amplifier. This allows me to play the music on the backing track and play fills and leads over them with my guitar. I sometimes record the outcome.

I bought this for use in my new car, which doesn't have a CD player. So far it has worked great. It handles a bouncy car ride really well without skipping and seems to hold a pretty decent charge. I'm also really happy with its memory function, which resumes where I left off, even after turning the power off. I wish CD players were still a standard feature in car stereos, but since they're not, this CD player is the next best thing.

Very pleased with this portable CD player. To test it out, we drove on bumpy dirt roads and the CD never skipped at all! It's compact and fits in the console of my truck. Using the truck's speakers, we get good sound quality.

Very functional easy to use, great sound quality. I use this player to setup a PA system, to be sure all speakers and monitors are working correctly, very easy to setup on my PA mixer.

Very happy with this CD player. Excellent skip protection, great sound. Also sounds great running through my analog home stereo system via one of its two headphone jacks, using a simple stereo 1/8" plug-to-rca cable. My only very small complaint is I don't like having to use a little spring latch to open the cover. It could just lift up, but I suppose this might be better if the device is positioned vertically or jostled around in a backpack. For me, 9/10 overall. Recommended.

I ordered this because I like to listen to CDs when walking. I love that it does not skip when I am walking and holding it by my side. I also love that it is rechargeable so you don't have to worry about batteries. The charge lasts a long time which is great too. Wish there was a handle or a bag to place it in so I wouldn't have to hold it when walking. The other thing I wish it had was a way to tell when the charge is low.

Overall, this is a very nice, affordable, medium quality portable CD player.The sound quality is good enough but not over-the-top fantastic. The CD player has a built-in equalizer which seems like a terrific feature but, unfortunately, offers very little actual sound difference from one setting to the other. The good news is that, if you're using this CD player in a car with a decent stereo, the built-in equalizer is of no real consequence.The CD player remembers what track was last played and, on restart, picks up where it left off.The CD player also has a great anti-shock system and doesn't skip when you drive over a bump. On a related and curious note: the CD player allows the user to turn off the anti-shock system. Why? I can't think of any situation when a user wouldn't want to prevent the CD from skipping.The CD player is nicely compact and is easily hidden under the seat or in the center console.The CD player is constructed of a medium quality plastic. It's good but not great.The CD player connects to a car audio system via an AUX cord and has a USB cord for power.

Battery life

Our new Monodeal CD player is very compact but puts out an excellent sound. We are a retired couple with a large stack of CDs but in this age of online and downloadable sound we had no reliable player for those CDs. The Monodeal fit perfectly next to the Sangean AM/FM radio to which it is connected. We are very pleased with the device.

The sound quality output was in stereo and was true to the recording. Very easy to hook up. Skip avoidance was excellent. The hard case I bought with it was a great size, and had a pocket that carried both the wiring and a few CD's. I am very happy with it. I just have to remember to turn off the power slide button so it's charged the next time I use it. The vehicles accessories only charge while the car is running.

Dad's new car didn't come with a built in CD player and he was a little bummed that he couldn't listen to any of his favorite CDs. Got this for him as a gift and he loves it. It took him a few tries to get comfortable with the machine, but overall he says that it's easy to use and sounds great. He says the player holds its charge for a long time. He also loves that it picks up where you left off when you turn it off.

I had a difficult time learning how to use this but once I did the sound was very good.

It's a good quality CD player with dual listening and it sounds great hooked up to our small Sony speakers with surround sound and equalizer. I recommend this to anyone. The only downfall about it is if you hook it up to a mini Bluetooth style speaker with audio cord the sound can be muffled. Overall it's worth it.

There was no CD player in my 2019 Rav, that’s why I purchased this CD player for my car so I could enjoy listening to my favorite songs instead of songs on the radio. Excellent sound quality and easy to useChristina

The anti-skip on this player is pretty good, only "skips" after 2 or more songs. Volume control could be a little bit louder, some of my headphones connected were barely loud enough. Other than that, this player is pretty great.

The unit runs great. It's a little tricky when starting probably because of the 160 sec delay. You have to give it about 30 seconds before you hear the music. The only other issue I've had is if the unit is upside down or tilted back in that direction it randomly stops playing. I keep it face side up. LOVE the big silver buttons and the display. All in all I'd recommend the unit.

I mounted it on top of the Bose and it's a great replacement at far less cost. The LCD readout faces the top, just like the Bose, so it's really easy to see what's going on. I'm quite happy with it. -- Sounds just as good as the Bose, too. No skips, jumps, etc. Plays perfectly.

As mentioned by others it does what it’s suppose to do and it’s constructed well. I found it easy to operate.One thing to mention is I bought this for use on a vintage home stereo system via a rca to aux adapter cable. I found that the outputted signal from the unit was a little on the weak side using it in this fashion.I can compensate for this with the hifi unit. Overall a good purchase for the pricepoint

I had bought a few cheap ($20) cd players before, and they were all a pain and broke after a few months. I wish I had spent the extra money and gotten this one in the first place. In addition to the good sound quality and solid build, it comes with earbuds and all the cords you need. Highly recommend.

After 19 years with a cheap ol' Radio Shack cd-player, I was looking to replace my dying machine. I chose this model because I liked the look, it seemed to have good reviews, and it was the right price for me. I've been using it for over a week now, and so far, this Monodeal has met or exceeded my expectations!The buttons are nice; well spaced and textured. Very responsive as well. The light is bright, but not blinding. And the dual headphone ports are a surprising bonus. I've utilized them several times now. The battery has a decent charge time; although I listen so frequently I have to re-charge it every other day or so. But it charges quickly and is less of a hassle than dealing with double a's.CDs themselves fit nice and snug, and even some of my more beat up discs can still be read with the anti-skip! I tend to play with the anti-skip off, though (disabled by holding the EQ button) for better audio quality! Haven't used the modes yet, but the EQ options are actually really nice. Not too overbearing, but adds just that bit of extra sheen or wool that you might be looking for on thinner-mastered recordings. Note: I didn't use the earbuds included, but my own pair of high-quality headphones.Perhaps my only complaint (and it's only a minor one) is that when lowering the volume to the lowest point, the audio seems to fade out in the right ear quicker than the left. My grandmother in her older age has not been able to read like she once could. She was in despair not being able to read her Bible each night before bed. With this CD player she listens to her Bible and other written works as well and is very happy. She has said it is an excellent player.

seems sturdy enough, anti-skip feature works well when im shaking it around, however, it oddly skipped around occasionally when it was just sitting on my desk. good product overall, would recommend

I bought this portable CD player to replace my large multi-disc player that stopped working. I like that it is square and looks like wood (it's not) so is attractive on the top shelf of my media station. I plug it into my bookshelf speakers so the sound is great. Definitely a good deal!

i was super excited to listen to my new bts cds and got this cd player only for it to stop working 2 days after i bought it. but before it broke it was pretty good had good noise quality and battery life but now i cant even get it to play

This CD player can be used as stand alone or in a car. It works in my Toyota Camry. It looks good and has a good feature changing the sound music based on the type of music you play.I wish the half-moon opening to pull the CD off the unit was not for the thumb but for the index finger. The sound quality is ok, but not too great. Perhaps I'm used to listening to my big stereo system and I expect too much.Overall, good unit and works well.

My newer car does not have a CD player. I love this device to plug in my dash so I can listen to my favorite CDs like I used to when I drive on trips or anywhere. Also, I can take it out of my car and listen with headphones in bed at night. Very nice sound !

A great CD player to buy. Rechargable cd player is a well thought out, the CDs are well played, additionally earphone are a plus. I would've love if the charger was USB-C, has a battery indicator, has Bluetooth build in but a adapter could work, and could take batteries as back up or 2nd option to power up, but build quality is great.

I am still getting acquainted with my new Monodeal CW605. I do not know yet how long a full charge lasts. But I CAN tell you this: the charger sent with the CD player does not fit the CD player, and the #1 port for ear buds produces a sound so faint it cannot be used. Fortunately, I owned a charger which is compatible with the Monodeal, and since I am the only one listening I can use the #2 port, but it is a disappointment. It suits my purpose as a stand alone unit to play cds in a car without a player I use it through a blue tooth link and it works well . It remembers where it was on the cd when you cut it off so it works great for audio books added some stick on labels as the function legends are very small

Volume is pretty low output as well.It looks cool, and to its credit, it played an album that I haven't been able to get to work in any other CD player for years, so kudos on that I guess. I was going to return it but it's not worth the hassle. If you just need a CD player to work and accept its limitations, go for it.
