I needed this cd player for my car, since my 6 cd player wore out and can only use the radio. But the day I got my cd player, I started using it and have had not to recharge it yet. I have used it for a couple months now and enjoy the sound of it. There is about six different settings for the sounds, using the player and two of the settings workout really great for what I need and like. If this one ever wears out, I will buy another from Monodeal again.

Using this in my basement office at work, hooked up to my Bose speaker. I get absolutely no reception in my office and very poor cell service. I needed something to listen to and realized I might finally have a use for the two boxes of CDs sitting in my attic. Most of the boom boxes received poor reviews for CD playback quality. For a standalone CD player $59 seems a little expensive, but the reviews for the Monodeal Rechargeable Personal Compact Disc Player were good and I needed something. Shipping was fast, it came the next day. I like that it��s rechargeable so I don��t need to waste batteries. Users manual is easy to understand. The sound quality is excellent. The EQ settings are nice touch and allow me to find the sound that I��m looking for. The Jazz setting offers bold sound. In an age where cars are not coming with cd players, this would be a worthy purchase.

My MONODEAL CD Player it's very easy to use and sounds great!. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and the sound quality of my player is the best I've had so far. And the display is large enough that even though I have vision problems, I can read it without a magnifying glass. I've had other name brand cd players but I find the MONODEAL CD tops them all.

I needed to replace an aging boombox which had a CD. I wanted to go through a book on CD and thought that this might be a good replacement. Frankly, I was surprised it was so good and light. I started using it and found that it was very easy to use. The screen was bigger and back lit. I could even read it without my glasses! That with the functionality which allowed me to easily rearrange tracks �C even on the move, made it simple to use. I also liked not having to find batteries. I could use the charging cable or the same one that I use for my phone.

The on off button is very stiff, and when I finally get it to slide it slides all the way over to 'hold' instead of 'on'. It's a struggle to get the switch to 'on'.The ear buds are hard plastic and very big, so I have a hard time getting them to stay in my small ears, besides the lack of comfort. I will be switching them out for my foam covered ones.Otherwise it's great, works in the car, the sound it great and it's a bonus that it's rechargeable.

This player has two highly desired functionalities: (i) backlight for main display and the buttons and (ii) built-in rechargeable battery. This would be a far better choice compared to most players with similar price based on the larger white backlight display alone (check the uploaded video). It is easy to connect to computer speakers using the 3.5 mm TRS port. Playback quality and overall volume is really great.

I bought this CD player for my mom, who is visually impaired. The placement and shape of the operating buttons makes it easier for her to use. Within a couple of hours she was able to operate it just by feel. The sound is very good.. It come with a set of earbuds, but sounds better if you use higher quality headphones or earbuds (she uses headphones). Another thing I like is, the rechargeable battery. Just plug it in like your phone, and it's ready to go. So I thinks it is a good deal.

I purchased this item for my son who loves listening to my old CDs. He has used it seemingly non-stop for the last week or so. At home, in the car, or exercising, he hasn't had any skipping or anything while using. Solid product so far.
The only things keeping me from giving it 5 stars are:
1: The price. It does seem expensive when i can get an Mp3 player for 1/4 of the cost, although it does seem comparable to other protable cd players.
2: The included ear buds are not great. We have replaced them with better headphones.

I am primarily using the CD player in conjunction with continuing education tapes with 8 to 10 topics on a disc. The quality is excellent, but what I appreciate most is the ease with which I can stop and start. A close 2nd would be the avoidance of skipping when walking or jogging.

Price point and fast delivery were also my additional criteria. Monodeal portable CD player satisfies all my requirements nicely. It comes with a nice bag and a charging cable, a cable to connect to aux-in, and an earphone resembling an iPhone earphone shape. The sound quality is good, the buttons and screen are intuitive. Preset EQ is a nice addition. I hope the battery life is also as advertised. I haven't checked the details but it comes with a lifetime warranty. Overall I'm quite happy with my purchase.

I searched amazon and found this rechargeable cd player. I tested it for her and I love it. The digital numbers are big enough for her to see, and the buttons light up. The sound is great, and most of all it will save money on not using batteries. The customer service representative (Nina), reached out to me to inquire about my purchase and even sent a free wall charger. I was very impressed with how secure the packaging is that it came in. I put in a CD right away and the sound quality is great. I shook it while it was playing to simulate movement during running and there was no skipping or issues at all! I love that it is rechargable and that I won't have to spend a ton on replacing batteries all the time. I also like that it has a larger display- I mostly ordered this for my mom, who likes to listen to books on CD. After trying it out, I will also use it myself when I exercise as I am old enough to still have a decent sized CD collection.

If you want an easy to use portable CD player, this is it. Comes with it's own travel bag, too. I am using it in my car for my CD (newer cars don't have CD players any more---drats) so it works well. Only problem for me is trying to open the player with one hand but otherwise, an economical, easy to use and carry CD player. I like that the company is in US and has good customer service as well.

My cousin has autism. He loves Donna Summer and her music and listens to her CDs all day, every day with this unit and headphones. That's probably 100% more use than anyone else would give the unit. After about a year, when the buttons on the lid stopped working they replaced it immediately. You can't ask for more of a company.

I am using this CD player for over a month. I never encounter any problem. I use earbuds or a speaker to listen to music. Sound quality depends on the speaker or earbuds, but I have good ones and enjoy the quality sound output. I like the placement of function buttons. I am pleased with my purchase.

Only had this player for a short time, but very happy with it. Found it very easy to use. While the accompanying instructions were helpful, it's pretty straightforward. Played it with a headset, not the included ear plugs, and also with auxiliary connection through a portable radio, and was pleased with the sound. Shook it a bit to test the anti-skip/anti-shock functionality, couldn't even tell I was doing it. I gave the battery life 5 stars, but really can't be sure. Haven't used it enough yet to require a charge subsequent to the first. Based on my use to date, I would highly recommend this CD player.

For the money, you cannot beat it. My Bose Wave system's CD player gonked out on me again after sending it to Bose in Mass, and I decided to follow some other reviewers' suggestion of hooking up a portable CD to the system's AUX function, and it works like a charm, especially through these great speakers. Liked the simplicity of this player but there should be a flashing battery indicator light to notify you when you need to recharge the battery. I use this player to play CDs that help me sleep among other things and thought it was broken when all of a sudden it stopped working.

Overall I like this player. The resume feature was not clear on how to use and was frustrating. Had to contact the company to find out that you don't hit the stop button before you toggle the CD player completely off. Intuitively you would think hitting the stop button would enable you to resume the player when the player was set to the resume mode.When in a quiet setting the sound level is fine. When using this CD player in a car I found that it would be nice if the volume level went higher since the outside noises can overpower the sound level.

I have a previous version of this CD player (with over 100+ hours of play), which I use in the car every day. Just as with the older mode, this new player is easy to turn on and off, and has a memory, so I never lose the position within a track of my book when I have to pause or turn the player off. The anti-skip protection works well, and I can change the player while listening to it. This is a must for the modern car that has no CD player!!! And I appreciate the ability to plug in with an aux cable rather than connect thru blue tooth. (Even our portable bluetooth speaker has an aux port!)This upgraded model has some great new features! The numbers on the display are larger. Now there is a lock feature (called 'hold) to prevent accidental changes to your play in progress. You can create a program of up to 30 tracks, to play your CD in a prescribed order. This comes in addition to shuffle, play all, repeat, etc. (I have tried out all those features. They would work well for music!) I do like having a setting in which the CD stops when it gets to the end, instead of looping back to track one. I particularly like the multiple equalizer options. I find the 'jazz' setting to give the best tone quality for audio (book) performance.

Since my original review on July 20, 2020, the company��s customer service department reached out to me and apologized for the inconvenience and defective product. As compensation they issued me a $30 Amazon gift card. I would have given them 5 stars for excellent customer service, except it took four months for them to contact me.Stopped working after two days. I thought it just needed the battery recharged. It had been working fine up until then. The light went from red to green but it still wouldn��t turn on after inserting a disc. I paid for the extra protection plan. So will see how that works

Use the CD player primarily in our new car which does not have one installed. Use it to listen to books on tape while commuting as well as listening to music. Player has worked flawlessly. Good choice for a very portable audio source for CDs.

I needed a portable CD player because of my old BOSE radio speaker with CD player does not read CDs anymore. So I hooked up the player to BOSE with 3.5mm to RCA AUDIO IN cable and works just fine. I can't talk about the sound quality because it's coming out from BOSE speaker but it's giving a good sound. I've tested the anti-skip feature even though I don't need much for my purpose. I shook it over 30sec while playing and no skip at all! It was pretty impressive. One thing to note: You need to charge the battery for the first time. Buttons do not work except for the play/pause.

purchased a new 2020 vehicle . don't offer CD players now. we like to listen to book tapes from the library so needed a solution. purchased this CD player and a Doosl FM transmitter, find a static free blank freq on radio, match freq on transmitter , insert disc ,hit play and you have tape playing thru your vehicles radio. CD player has easy to read display, controls are easy to read, skip proof function works great. battery life is as advertised. both units can be charged by USB in car or at home with a phone charger. units don't come with their own charger. really like and enjoy these units, solved our issue with the book tapes.

I am 74 and started an early morning walking program a few weeks ago. Started out with Raycon earbuds ($80) and could barely hear my phone playlist; so I bought Bose Headphones (on sale at a TV store) and they weren't any better because the volume on these devices is decided by "someone" for safety. If you're hard of hearing in one or both ears, there is no recourse with those items. I remembered in 2010 I was jogging with a portable CD player, but back then it would skip and I just dealt with it. BUT THIS PLAYER IS GREAT! I can hear my music now, and I have volume left to spare on this little machine. The wired earbuds are great, too. I recommend this as an option to anyone who is tired of battling with the regulated sound on other devices. Glad I kept my CD collection.

I got this cd player and I use it primarily for audio books. I wanted one that holds the place when I turn it off, the other ones I looked at do not do this, they go back to the beginning and it was so frustrating. At first I wasn't sure how to get it to hold the place, but after looking at reviews on line I figured it out, it is very easy to do. I like the cd player very much and also like that it is rechargeable. It seems I have so many devices that use AA and AAA batteries and I keep running out, nice that this does not need them. I looked at many before I chose this one and it was a good choice.

I bought this item for personal use for MP3 discs. The unit works very well and the overall quality is very good. When the item was purchased, it came with a 1-year warranty. The icing on the cake is that the company recently E-mailed me that it was extending its warranty (presumably at no charge) to a lifetime warranty. In other words, the company is expressing its intention to stand behind its product.

It worked perfectly i my home but I bought it for my car in which I have no used it because the dealership is closed and no one to show me how to use the MEDIA feature that comes with the car and where you connect the disk player.

I love the convenience of a recharchable battery. In my opinion that is the feature that drew me in. The CD player is of excellent quality. It's not a plastic cheesy player at all. It comes with a nice velvet type carrying case that holds the CD player, the headphones and the charging cable. The sound quality is superb. I resorted to buying a portable CD player because of an experience I had on my last trip made by airline. I won't say any names. Anyway...I was all prepared with a smartphone, data plan and downloaded music which BTW I pay fees for. After boarding this lovely aircraft it was brought to my attention that I would have to pay an additional fee to purchase wifi while on the flight even if I had a data plan on my phone. That was it for me. I decided to go old skool and purchase a portable CD player for my travels since I have a large collection of CDs to choose from including books on CD. If the battery gets low on the CD player then all you have to do is plug it in to recharge it just like you would your cell phone. It takes up very little room AND....when you register the player with the manufacturer you get a lifetime warranty. If you are shopping for a decent CD player look no further than Monodeal. With this product you will find exactly what you are looking for and more.

I like the fact that it has rechargeable battery and comes with earphones. I don't like the on/off/hold switch which slides and often goes too far to the hold setting. The item is all black so it is sometimes hard to see the switches and ports. Also the R and L listed on the earphones is hard to see. Perhaps a larger letter on each in a brighter color.Over all it is a very good machine except for these cosmetic things.

I listened to half a dozen CD's battery life lasted the whole time and still didn't need to be charged: still going on 1st charge, easy to use, easy to charge, simple and spot-on. I also shook it to see if it would skip during play: it did not. Looks cool, sleek, fits in my cd bag.locking feature, replay features etc. Comes with everything to needed to charge, hook up to phone jack and/or speakers. Also came with bonus satchel and lil' plug in earbuds. Sounds good too.

Easy to read display-large. When listening to a cd, I can stop and return to listening again at the stopping point. The cd does not start over at the beginning. Nice carrying case for packing in my carry on luggage.

CDs last practically forever if handled properly and don't degrade appreciably over time. Everyone over 30 has books and music on CDs because SD Cards and MP3 Players didn't exist back then. Most of us have 100 or more discs, but we don't always have a convenient way to listen to them...
